Our guidelines were developed to help make the Kama Experience feel fun, safe, and positive. As a platform centered around real human connection, we want to help our community form meaningful physical interactions despite recent challenges. But to do so, we need your help to help make in-person dating enjoyable and safe.
Connecting in the Time of COVID-19
Given the unprecedented coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we have a few tips on how to ensure a fun yet safe Kama dating experience:
IF YOU FEEL SICK, STAY AT HOME
If you have a mild illness, respiratory symptoms, or have a fever (38 C or 100.4 F or above), stay home and keep away from others. If your symptoms get worse, call your doctor. Just Cancel or Reschedule the date, this won't affect your chances for potential matches.
WEAR A MASK UNTIL YOU START EATING
We recommend members to wear a mask for as long as they can before they need to start eating or drinking. If you’re worried about your appearance, you always buy stylish masks!
COVER YOUR COUGH OR SNEEZE
Use a tissue to cover your cough or sneeze and throw the tissue in the trash, then wash your hands. If you don't have a tissue within reach, cough or sneeze into your elbow.
WASH YOUR HANDS FREQUENTLY
Wash your hands with liquid soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol to disinfect your hands. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
We advise dining outdoors to improve air ventilation and to stick to New York City and Health Department recommendations.
If you feel uncomfortable meeting a match due to health & safety reasons, you can always choose to cancel or reschedule your date. As always please follow all public health authorities and New York state and federal guidelines to protect yourself and your community.
